7 New Things Fashion People Are Talking About

If it seems like fashion news is moving a mile a minute, well, you're not alone. Despite our numerous social media feeds and perpetual press releases, it can be hard to keep up with the latest industry news—even as full-time editors—which is why we're trying something new and boiling it down to just the basics. Here are the seven new things fashion people are talking about right now:

L.A. Pop-Up News

This one's for all the stylish residents of Los Angeles: cult-favorite brand Miaou has just opened a brick-and-mortar pop-up shop, and it's incredibly chic. Open until March 31, the space is located near LACMA at 6111 W. 5th Street. The interior was inspired by founder Alexia Elkaim's grandmother's Rive Gauche apartment. How sweet is that?

A Roman Holiday

COS just announced that it will stage a runway show in Rome, Italy, to showcase its new S/S 24 collection. If you haven't received your invite yet, don't fret: COS will be live-streaming the show on Tuesday, March 26 at 3 p.m. CET/ 10 a.m. EST on the brand's Instagram and TikTok accounts. The show's backdrop will be a recently renovated and supremely photogenic 15th-century building, so you can bet the extravaganza will be all over your IG feed.

Louis Vuitton Sets Its Sights on Spain

Where in the world is Nicolas Ghesquière? Well, come May 23, you can find him in Barcelona, Spain, where the women's artistic director will be hosting Louis Vuitton's Cruise 2025 show at a yet-to-be-disclosed location in the Catalan city. "Along with the show, Louis Vuitton will also celebrate the Louis Vuitton Cup and the 37th edition of the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup Barcelona with multiple events such as hospitality, an exhibition, and cultural activations with guests from around the world," a press release reads. See you there.

Cecilie Bahnsen Launches a New Capsule Collection

Cecilie Bahnsen is my favorite Danish brand, and I don't say that lightly. I've attended Copenhagen Fashion Week for five years now, so I'm well acquainted with the city's talented designers, but Bahnsen remains my #1. (She did decamp to Paris Fashion Week, but I'll forgive her.) Bahnsen's latest launch is a new capsule collection created with fabrics from Nona Source's enviable archives. If you're not familiar, Nona Source has become a key player in the industry's push for circularity. It supplies high-quality deadstock fabrics to designers at affordable prices, which encourages brands to lower their environmental impact.

Camila Morrone's New Campaign

Calvin Klein has tapped Daisy Jones & the Six star Camila Morrone for its spring 2024 eyewear campaign. "I have always admired Calvin Klein’s contemporary elegance, which is why I was excited to be a part of this eyewear campaign," Morrone said in a press release. She's wearing the Butterfly Frame Glasses in the image above, so naturally, I need the same pair ASAP. I won't look exactly like Camila, but it's a good start.

Piaget Revamps an Old Favorite

There's a new timepiece in town. Piaget just released an updated version of its classic polo watch from the 1970s called the Polo 79. The new watch is made entirely of 18-karat gold. How luxurious is that? The original watch counted Andy Warhol and Elizabeth Taylor as fans and only time will tell which celebrities will latch on to the 2024 version. It's safe to say this news is delighting watch collectors the world over.

Pucci Heads to Rome

After previously showing in Florence back in May, Pucci is now setting its sights on a different Italian city: Rome. The brand and its artistic director, Camille Miceli, just announced that a runway show will be held in the capital city on April 4, 2024. "The collection revives Vivara, among the most iconic Pucci prints that date to 1965 and appears throughout the archives," Pucci said in a statement.

Erin Fitzpatrick
Senior News Editor

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 12 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of senior news editor (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
